"What are the advantages of having an online Office Suite? I'd say that the disadvantages include: security issues, slow speed, dependance on internet connection, limited features, harder to program, and probably many others. What is the point?"

It's a very good question and in my latest ZDNet post I try to answer it.

Eightyford's point might be a good question but I cannot see any of his arguments valide.

. There is no more security issue in connecting to a remote application than in leaving a pc online !

. we started to live in the online VoD era and both in the Internet and in the Internet Mobile areas, bandwidth is no longer a brake and permanent connection becomes a standard for the masses.

. the other points are obvious
