Wow, a bunch of cool new tools. I liked Summize a lot: a nice, simple and useful application of opinion mining. Will the Web make more sense with it? Check it out before buying a printer!! :-)

Nice list and great update. I really like the idea of using one searchbox like sputtr (great design).

Hey! I never thought such a big list of *new* search engines would exist. I tried a couple of them out and I found Summize really really nice! I tried it for a couple of items and I found info very very interesting. I already put it in my bookmarks, I think next time I'll use it before buying something online!

Not convinced of the value of sputtr. I mean why not just use the search engine plugins in fire fox? If it did all of them at once that'd be cool

RevolutionHealth.com offers a vertical health search service offering site search results in the top layer and health specific web search results powered by Kosmix in the lower layer. We've been very happy with the relationship and wish them continued success.

On a more personal note, I'm also very happy to see Summize on the list. This is a fantastic tool to make really fast product purchase decisions. I recently wanted to upgrade my cell phone. My carrier offered a large (read: overwhelming) selection of free upgrades. It could have taken hours to read through all of the available online opinions. Using Summize, I was able to confidently make a purchase decision in about 10 minutes. I was blown away. We'll be hearing much more from these guys soon. I'm sure of it.

Nice list and great update.
Looked at some of the search engines. In the video field uLinkx (www.ulinkx.com) search engine looks great. It is fast and gives relevant results. It also provides top videos from popular websites.

My site, LuckyButton, has been doing basically the same thing as sputtr for about a year now (albeit without the rounded corners and pastels ;). Theres obviously a few others as well. I like to call this type of search site a "metaquery engine".

I'm not sure that Sputtr belongs on a list of alternative search engines - It is a nice design but it doesn't actually do any search themselves. To be fair, they don't claim to either.
