News is the most popular genre of online video with every age group except for those ages 18-29, for whom comedy is watched more. YouTube is the most popular destination, with 27% of online video consumers saying they watch or download video from YouTube.

It's on that latter point that this week's poll will revolve. Read/WriteWeb readers are likely to use a larger variety of online video sites than the Pew audience, so we're curious what the results of this poll will be. Note that there are literally hundreds of video sharing sites on the Web - we listed a lot of them in our February Online Video Index. So we can't hope to include them all. But shout out in the comments if your favorite online video site isn't in the list.

In India broadband access is still in its nascent stages, therefore, in order to share the videos I download them (using keepvid.com and grab++) and burn them to discs/usb drives and then share with people in my friend circle..

It's a big advantage to watch news, reportages or broadcasts independently from tv transmissions at a particular time. On my list are:
- Germany's most important news channels ARD and ZDF with only video content
- youtube for all the music videos and several other contents
- some video on demand services (best way to stop the use of movie-p2p so far ;-)

Online Video is for me the most important thing in 06/07, because it enables unbelievable capacities of networks and storage and also gives the possibility to connect people and their impressions all over the world together.

You also have not mentioned PandoraTV, which I have written to you about in a couple of emails. But that's okay, because the site is still in Korean and won't launch into an English language version until September.

It will have HD uploading capability and a powerful global user-generated content search engine that can search across video databases.
