That's why the latest project from Dopplr - the site that helps you keep track of your comings and goings, as well as those of your friends - is so interesting. They're offering to answer a variety of travel history questions by providing Dopplr users with Personal Annual Reports that will help them visualize their travel during 2008.
Eight year old Marco Calasan from Skopje, Macedonia has been dubbed the Mozart of Computers by local press after becoming the worlds youngest IT Professional when he passed the Microsoft Certified System Administrator exam.
According to a report in the Times last week, Microsoft presented Marko with games and DVDs after he'd passed the exams, and although he considered it a nice gesture, he said he wasn't "really interested in those things."
New York-based Peachtree Media Advisors has just released its annual report summarizing mergers, acquisitions and amounts of capital raised in the online media market last year. The report is available as a PDF download (2MB). In 2008 there were were 707 merger, acquisition and capital raise transactions in the online sector of media - which was 92 more transactions than 2007. The breakdown was 348 capital raise transactions and 359 acquisitions. Despite the increase in transactions however, the actual dollar value declined from 2007.

In what can only be described as a typically predictable move, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has appealed Federal Judge Nancy Gertner's order allowing the hearing of Joel Tenenbaum's copyright infringement trial to be narrowcast over the Web.
Today, the Harvard legal team representing Tenenbaum commented on the appeal pointing out that if the RIAA truly wants to educate people it should be embracing the narrowcast. The appeal really does beg the question: does the RIAA really want its voice heard by the masses?
