I'm not sure what's more surreal: hearing that "The WHO" has declared a level-five alert (which I believe means a tour with more than three dates on at least two continents), or the success of the pork lobby, among others, in convincing the powers that be to stop calling it "swine flu".

I'm hoping to get people to call it "pork lobby flu." So far, few takers.

Ahh Swine Flu! I am surpringly declining in how frightened I am of it, strange but everyone keeps saying, it won't get us, we live in Britain! We have Vaccines!

I don't get it. I could look up hashtag but that's not fair... because no one else will. I do delight in the ribbing of the fake Pandemic though. Honestly, it's a big joke. So much so, you can work in the word "hashtag" into it.

@Anrkist, hashtags are keywords (preceded with the "#" or "hash" character) used to organize conversations in Twitter.

@yy, the joke is that some of us of a certain age associate The Who with a rock band rather than a global health organization. (Coincidentally, WHO scientists smash their instruments after every experiment. And only one WHO scientist has had a decent solo career.)
