Over December we have published ten Top 10 lists for the best products of 2009, in categories ranging from Consumer Web Apps to Real-Time Technologies. Now we're opening up our selections for you to vote on. We've embedded a poll below, with all 100 products that the ReadWriteWeb team selected.

We invite you to vote for your favorite web products of 2009. You can select up to 10 products. If you don't see one of your favorites in the list, note it in the comments and we'll count that as a vote too.

Sure I am biased but I would echo the vote above for Second Porch, which is opening up social commerce for people who value trust as paramount in the transaction of renting or trading a vacation home. These are highly considered transactions and putting the face behind the place brings a new level of transparency to this large marketplace.

Interesting poll, but I think some cathegorization would have allowed us to be more "effective"
And also, some of the candidates are really "young" and I'm not sure if it's fair to compare them with Google, Facebook and other "old mates"

I agree with Claire on comment 4. It is unfair to newbies. Particularly I am not affiliated with any of their companies but including Facebook with say, Glue, seems odd and does not help obtaining reasonable stats as to year 2009. Unless of course you mean all time people's choice. But then again lists will always be attractive by the end of the year, just like Billboard's :)

If it's here, I don't see it, but my favorite app launched in 2009 is www.secondporch.com

It's a new Facebook application for owners of vacation rental properties and users of vacation rental properties.

Second Porch is a great enhancement to or alternative to traditional vacation rental listings and offers both owner and rental guest a comfortable and transparent space to communicate.

Just wanted to suggest that you supply a quick inform link to your list of 100 best products for 2009. Is there anyone who has heard of most of these, let alone all, of these products?

It would be great to know more about each one without having to resort to a Google search, (one more step), right from your site.

I would like to suggest
pearltrees, for their innovative mapping of the personal web, (or should I say personal graphic blogroll?) Have I got your attention? Check it out.

Even though there is still more smoke than fire, because it is still beta, how about Google Wave. I don't think the content would be diluted from your list to include beta software. Google Wave is by far the most innovative and potentially the most significant product of 2009, second only to Chrome, in terms of far reaching implications.

Many of these sites and products launched prior to this year... there's a difference between adding a new product and optimizing/perfecting/improving an older one. Seems unfair to the newbies to be compared against sites that have had several years to evolve, e.g. 5-year-old Facebook and 2-year-old Mint...
