Just a quick admin note about a few things. Firstly, Read/WriteWeb has been
growing so well in recent months that I'm in the process of expanding the site. Key to
this is continuing to provide premium content on web technology - and building a
community around that. So I want to thank all the regular and loyal readers of R/WW -
especially for all the comments you make, which puts the 'write' in Read/Write ;-)
In related news.... in order to focus more on R/WW, I've reluctantly given up my ZDNet blog. I enjoyed my time writing there and especially the series of posts I did on Web Office, which got me thinking about that space a lot! Of course, all the topics I used to cover on ZDNet will now be found on R/WW.
There are a couple of sponsor slots opening up shortly in the sidebar, which sell for a very reasonable CPM. On Read/WriteWeb, you are guaranteed to reach a large number of smart, influential decision makers and early adopters. So if reaching that audience (and supporting premium content about Web Technology) is your goal for your new web 2.0 product or service, send me an email to request more details about R/WW sponsorship.
A Jobs Board is going live very soon on Read/WriteWeb and more exciting developments are in the works. Read/WriteWeb is now pretty much my full-time business (I've also cut back on consulting engagements), so you'll start to see this site bloom over the next few months :-)

Richard, I really enjoy reading the blog. Keep up the great work.
How are you going to help and innovate the online job board space? It seems like the job board thing has been done to death by like 20 different companies. What are you going to do differently?

While you are on the topic of adding features ... i really would like to see an RSS feed for comments ...
Yeah Yeah .. i know you will say there's already one there .. but you see, to get that link everytime you make a new post (something thats gonna increase i guess) i need to visit your website. I usually read your posts on Google Reader and dont visit your site (bad for your sponsors, i know - but that works for me). So if i dont visit the page on your site - I usually dont get to read or remain updated on the comments ...
Can't we have an RSS feed that (at least) tells me that there are so many comments on so and so post, so that then i can go and check the comments. Extending ... could there be a feed which could be a collation of all comment feeds so that any coment on any post gets appended to it.
Think it over ...

Very very happy for you. I've been on R/WW from the very early days and so I'm especially thrilled to see R/WW becoming a must-have resource for so many. Kudos to you and to your editorial partners.
Best wishes,

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words!
Nikhil, very good point about the comments feed. I already had one, but it was a bit hidden away. So I've now added the link to every post page (http://www.readwriteweb.com/comments.xml), just below the Comments header. I'll also try to add to the header bar.
p.s. I don't think Mike A needs to "watch out" :-) He's a friend of mine and I've told him what I'm doing. Also I think there's more than enough room for both brands.

Justin, re the job board. You are exactly right, there are a lot of job boards and so there needs to be something that will differentiate the R/WW one. I think a lot of it will come down to the community here and what their interests and skillsets are - job advertisers want to tap into niche communities. But also I have a couple of ideas on how to make the R/WW Job Board a little different... :-)
