The event is targeted at the hundreds of alternative search engines that Charles Knight covers, so that they can meet and mix. More details below. No Search Engines related event is complete without Search Engines Web being there to analyze and critique ...
But hopefully you won't forget to archive the entire event on YouTube and podcasting sites so that the entire globe can share and offer feedback for a long time.
Ideally, it would be even better to have real time video conferencing and chat - but it seems it is to much of an ordeal for most events - the world is just not ready this decade
Unfortunately, I can't attend this time but hope to read the meeting minutes then.
This will be a great dialog between a diverse set of alternative search engines in different fields. I'm looking forward to moderating the panel on "Reaggregating User Generated Content" and the opportunity/role for specialized search to help people do that.
I'll try to post something on the UpTake blog on this between now and the event! Looking forward to it.
