  1. Seems like a risky job to be in when it comes to a rough economy.

  4. I love my job as Community Manager at BlogTalkRadio. I get to manage the blog, moderate community forums, and even reach out to our hosts and listeners via a weekly radio show.

I'm seeing a rise in these types of jobs over the past few months and it's only just the beginning. Even though the economy isn't so strong now, it only makes sense businesses have an online presence and reach out to their communities.

  5. Six weeks ago I became Community Manager at True Knowledge ( http://www.trueknowledge.com ); I had been working at True Knowledge since February 08 as a Knowledge Engineer but decided I would apply to be Community Manager. I got the job and am really glad I went for it. The last 6 weeks have been really interesting and a lot of fun. I've met a few Community Managers from other web companies, and this Saturday we are having the first True Knowledge social meet-up in Cambridge, more info here:
    http://blog.trueknowledge.com/2008/10/announcing-the.html

I think it is a really interesting time to be a Community Manager.
