Enterprise 2.0 Conference Announces Final Four Launch Pad Companies

launchpadlogo2009.gifEnterprise 2.0 Conference, the premiere gathering for those who care about Web 2.0 technologies within the enterprise, announced on Friday the four companies to present live as part of their Launch Pad program.

Those fortunate enough to make their presentation are chosen through a competition involving both video and Twitter rounds. Here's our rundown of the Final Four.

Bantam

bantam_jun_09.jpgBantam, which we first reviewed in early April when it was part of the Web 2.0 Expo's Launch Pad, is a secure online social network for businesses Combining elements of Twitter, Facebook, and traditional CRMs, Bantam is still in private beta. What really differentiates Bantam from some similar solutions is the (really) real-time stream of information.

Brainpark

brainpark-logo.jpgBrainpark aims to be a central repository for a company's knowledge, making it easily accessible and acting as the virtual memory for an organization. In practice, it's a personalized, Twitter-like stream that includes both messaging and other ways to store and find content such as links and documents. If that sounds ambiguous, it's probably because Brainpark is the most distinctive of the four Launch Pad companies.

Manymoon

manymoon-logo.jpgManymoon is an SaaS enterprise platform incorporating status messages, document editing and other capabilities. In addition to the nice integration with Google accounts and Apps, Manymoon focuses on converting what used to be unnecessarily emailed around an enterprise in to a flexible task-based system of collaboration.

YouCalc

youcalc3_logo_09.pngYouCalc offers custom, on-demand analytics apps and dashboards for cloud data such as from Google Analytics and AdWords, Basecamp, and Salesforce.com CRM. The service is dead simple to use, with almost no manual configuration whatsoever, which is rare for an analytics service that also emphasizes customization.

  1. bogus system, winners were preselected in the back room

  2. Hiya, thanks for the write up. Actually the finalists were NOT chosen in ANY sort of back room. We de-duped votes our web experts identified as possibly fraudulous (based on scripts).

Sucks to do something to showcase the companies in our ecosystem and then get slammed because the technology wasn't fool-proof.

In my eyes - all the companies that participated are winners, surviving in an economy as tough as this one is no small feat. Kudos to all, and good luck in the live presentations!
