Fujitsu FlexFrame Now Integrates with Oracle VM

Fujitsu-logo.jpgFujitsu has announced the newest version of its FlexFrame for Oracle, and it now supports the Oracle VM, the server virtualization software.

By integrating with Oracle VM, FlexFrame can now handle a more dynamic enterprise infrastructure. A centralized storage system may not be as new and exciting as the cloud, but this new partnership will make a difference to large-scale IT.

Like Fujitu's FlexFrame for SAP, this product is a pre-integrated piece of infrastructure specifically designed to allocate server resources to Oracle services. In other words, it's custom tailored to work for enterprises already using or moving to Oracle databases and application servers.

The new support for Oracle VM in FlexFrame probably won't deliver the ease of management and 60% lower cost of ownership that Fujitsu is promising, but it will reduce IT's headache in dealing with virtual servers.
