Spellcheck This: Microsoft Office 2010, The Movie

Written by Steven Walling / July 10, 2009 3:51 PM / 14 Comments

microsoft-office-2010.jpgYes, Microsoft has a promo video for Microsoft Office 2010, and we're posting it. This isn't slapped together by some corporate PR hack with iMovie (oops, did we say that?) Microsoft gave self-described YouTuber Dennis Liu of Traffik Film Works a free hand, and the results are pretty amusing.

The official release of Office 2010 is still quite a ways off, but if you're looking for a bit of Friday buffoonery and you'd like to revel in seeing Clippy in his grave, I suggest you take a look-see. After watching it, the only thing we're wondering is exactly who managed to sneak a link to the trailer into the Office 2010 Wikipedia article.

  10. In 2010 the Office of the film. And it has its own action figures?
I saw the trailer and thinking how much the cost? Microsoft could have done better to give a better cost of the rest, but the ultimate upgrade.
I never work in advertising. Function of its products, or have I would like to work or not.
If they really want to make people excited, they should do what they did in 2007 was the release of Office and Vista. Expo will be held in various cities were present in 2010 the Office of the product obtained is free of charge. In this way, they can view their lessons learned and other employers at the fair.

  12. I thought it was a very professional piss-take until I went to the website and Firefox demanded that I install Silverlight to view the content. I thought to myself “how ironic that these guys are hassling Microsoft and yet using Microsoft products”. I didn’t bother installing Silverlight, I just clicked on the “for mobile devices” link instead. That’s when I saw the interviews with Microsoft employees and then I realised “oh, it’s not a joke, it’s an ad!”
