Android Developers Can Now Access Sales Reports

Google has introduced a new feature for Android developers: merchant sales reports. These reports will show, in detail, the monthly financial performance of mobile applications and will be hosted in the Android Market Developer Console. Included in the reports is information from Google Checkout, including per-transaction details, device information, currency used in each sale and the currency conversion rate.

Google is making the reports available for download in CSV format in addition to hosting them in the Android Developer Console online. Because this feature is new, there is not any historical data available at present - just that for March 2011. However, Google says that over the next few weeks, reports going back to January 2010 will come online, too.

Going forward, the reports will launch by the 10th day of the month, providing data for the month prior. Google has also asked developers to provide feedback via its help center, for questions, comments or feedback.

These sales reports are available now.
