In a continuing string of new hires, 451 Marketing continues to make additions to address growing demand for PR agencies with Social Media savvy.
John Slattery started today as 451 Marketing's new Director of Business Development.
Slattery has over 25 years of experience in television, marketing, public
relations and sales, working with many of New England's brightest business
leaders and marketing professionals. Over the last several years, John has
managed the marketing and sales for the Bank of America Championship, the
PGA Tour's Champions Tour event in Concord, MA, overseeing event sponsorship
and client entertainment.
Prior to working with the PGA Tour, Slattery also owned and operated the New
England Marketing Connection, a marketing and PR agency that provided
services to clients like National Grid, Sullivan Tire and iParty. Before
that, John spent 18 years at New England Sports Network (NESN), serving as
the Vice President of Marketing Communications and Vice President of New
Business Development. At NESN, Slattery managed the in-house promotions
agency, which was recognized with numerous awards for excellence in
advertising, marketing and broadcasting, including an Emmy Award.
John began his career with Agnew, Carter, McCarthy, Inc. Public Relations in
Boston, where he represented a wide range of client organizations from
financial services, to technology to the Ringling Brothers Circus.
A Boston College graduate, John currently resides in Stow, MA with his wife
Patty and their two children Kate and Jack.
