Joe Devilla, a self-described "Rock and roll accordion-playing tech evangelist, developer and blogger," was laid off from his position as Technical Project Manager at b5media earlier this month.
According to his blog, Devilla's new job at Microsoft Canada as Developer Advisor will involve building web technologies using Microsoft tools. He also plans to take his unique instrumental show on the road in presentations and demos for user groups and businesses.
b5media, the blog network created in 2005, laid off employees and made headlines in October for restructuring its compensation program for bloggers.
