Former Facebook Chief Revenue Officer and Amazon VP Own Van Natta has been hired as the new CEO of music aggregation company Playlist.com, according to reports from TechCrunch.
No official announcement has been made from the company or Van Natta, but TechCrunch has spoken to multiple sources that say Van Natta has told them about his new job. Project Playlist, as the company calls itself, is a straightforward way to build and export playlists of your favorite songs. It reports having almost 40 million users. It's not on Comscore's list of streaming radio providers but would like be one of if not the largest service if it was.
The company was sued for "massive infringement" of copyright by 9 big record labels in April.
