Alex Russell Joins Google

GoogleChrome_logo.jpgProject Lead for the Dojo Toolkit Alex Russell announced that he will be leaving SitePen to join Google. Alex will be working on Google's new web browser for Windows, Chrome.

According to a recommendation on his LinkedIn profile, Alex Russell is a "bona fide DHTML/JavaScript hacking superstar". Prior to joining Google, Alex was Director of R&D at SitePen and Senior Software Engineer at JotSpot. He is also the author of several O'Reilly JavaScript books.

Google's free web browser for Windows, Chrome, was first released September 2, 2008 and has gained about 1 percent of the browser market.
