Game Advertising company Mochi Media announced today that George Garrick will take the reigns from founder Jameson Hsu. With years of online advertising experience, Garrick says he's best at "creating and driving growth, and taking middle or later-stage startup companies...to the next level," according to his LinkedIn profile. Hsu will continue to work with the company and develop collaborative partnerships as its product overseer, or "Chief Mochi."
Founded in 2005, Mochi media is the leading development, distribution and monetization platform for flash-based games. It launched the ad network MochiAds in 2007, which can track which website each game is played from and the number of times it is played. This generates income for developers and significantly reduces piracy.
Mochi's game network reaches over 70 million unique users per month, a number most likely to increase with it's partnerships with Google (AdSense for Games) and Tenent Holdings, Ltd, China's largest Internet service operator.
