Dorsett will oversee the Internet company's news and entertainment sites in the United States and report to Hilary Schneider, executive vice president of Yahoo! U.S.

Before joining Yahoo!, Jeff Dossett held a variety of positions at Microsoft, joining them in 1991. His official start date at Yahoo! is Monday, Nov. 10 and he plans to work from Yahoo!'s Santa Monica and Sunnyvale, California locations.
