Sendmail_logo2.jpgGregory Shapiro was recently promoted to Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Sendmail, Inc.

Sendmail was created by founder and Chief Science Officer Eric Allman over 25 years ago. Its Open Source MTA is the most widely used email technology on the Internet.

Shapiro has one of the longest and most impressive LinkedIn pages I have ever seen. Before joining Sendmail in March of 1998, he was a Senior UNIX System Administrator at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Senior Network Administrator at Howard Hughes Medical Institute

According to Donald J. Massaro, President and CEO of Sendmail, Inc. "Greg has been with Sendmail from the start and has a very deep understanding of both our products and our customers' needs, he has had tours in Engineering, IT and Business Development, and over the past two years I have been using Greg in the CTO capacity and as my personal technical advisor."
