Reddit Hires A Community Manager

Written by Marshall Kirkpatrick / November 10, 2008 5:42 PM / 0 Comments

reddit125.jpgHere's a hot hire we missed last week - another community manager position - this time at social news site Reddit. Erik Martin, by all accounts a trouble-making rogue, has joined the Reddit staff to assist the many users of the site.

While Martin's free time is spent participating in such subversive activities as ImprovEverywhere, he says his new day job will be largely dedicated to promoting Reddit spin-off sites We Heart Gossip (celebs) and The Cute List (CuteOverload/ICanHaz follow-along site). We hope he can find constructive ways to spend his time.

At the very least he can take heart in knowing that he now has the hottest job on the internet. Community Manager is the title that all the cool kids want to have these days, apparently.

In all seriousness, Martin is rightly excited to have this great new job and we congratulate him for it. Reddit is wise to hire a dedicated community manager and Martin's experience with free-form insanity makes him seem a particularly good fit.
