Strands hired Fidel Santiago as a Business Developer for Strands Business Solutions in Spain. This social recommendations technology provider operates in two additional areas: Personal Finance (moneyStrands) and Social Media (Strands.)
Santiago is one of those rare individuals that can adeptly use both the right and left sides of his brain, with experience in both marketing/sales and technology/IT consulting. As he writes in his blog, Santiago will continue to write about marketing but will now integrate recommendations topics related to his new position.
Strands develops technologies to understand people's tastes and preferences through their online activities, a big trend for 2008. They recently awarded Gravity R&D, developer of an Instant personalized entertainment solution for TV, $100,000 in the first Strands $100K Call for Recommender Start-ups. This international company is hiring in the US, Spain and Finland.
