Jen Harris loves her new job. Last week, she made it through her first day handling Social Media Marketing and Sales at TSheets. Harris, formerly a New Media Specialist at MPC Computers, hopes to build awareness of social media at her new company.
Meridian, Idaho based TSheets was founded in 2006 by Matt Rissell and Brandon Zehm. The company provides time and labor management applications to business owners, bookkeepers and payroll professionals.

It was great to see Jen on Twitter posting her entire experience from layoff to new position.
It's especially interesting since she managed to land a new job in about two weeks time. Which is great considering the economy.
Maybe more job seekers should take this kind of approach.

Well, I would still really like that job - if I was still there.
I was laid off on Tuesday (exactly 3 months after my hiring date) due to lack of concrete ROI according to the VC's.
I totally get that & don't blame the owners, Matt Rissell or Brandon Zehm.
Some people get "it" and some people don't. No worries.
I am currently working on Dont Tax My Beer here in Idaho for the next three weeks as well as doing some social media training & implementing for Handyman Connection. I look forward to many more 1:1 here in the Treasure Valley and elsewhere. I love teaching & seeing the results.
