Alan Cox Leaves Red Hat, Joins Intel

Intel_logo.gifBritish computer programmer and Linux Kernel developer Alan Cox announced to LXer editors this week, "I will be departing Red Hat mid January having handed in my notice...barring last minute glitches I shall be relocating to Intel (logically at least, physically I'm not going anywhere) and still be working on Linux and free software stuff".

Cox has been working on the Linux Kernel since the early days in 1991 and was employed by Linux distributor Red Hat for ten years. In October, 2005 he received a lifetime achievement award at the LinuxWorld awards in London.
