Beer and Blog is a weekly meetup in Portland, Oregon based on "bloggers helping bloggers over beers". It has become a very popular Friday afternoon retreat for Portland's growing tech/creative community and has even seen local mainstream media coverage. The gathering has become so popular that event founder Justin Kistner has decided to expand to nearby Corvallis and possibly beyond. He also brought on Michelle Anderson to be an author for its blog and event coordinator for the Portland branch.
Anderson is known by her friends in the Portland tech/creative community as @MediaChick. She is "a media switchboard operator who's fanatical about writing, producing and social media". To learn more about her, check out her blog, i heart media.
