Ericsson Hires President for India and Sri Lanka Operations

Ericsson_logo.gifMobile and broadband internet communications company Ericsson announced today it has hired Gowton Achibar to be President of its operations in India and Sri Lanka. Achibar will try to help the company maintain and strengthen its leadership position within the market.

Achibar was Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Ericsson Services business in North America before accepting his new position. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President of Business Development at AFL Telecommunications.

Ericcson was founded in 1876 by Lars Magnus Ericsson,as a telegraph equipment repair shop. They are one of Sweden's largest companies. They are best known for their telecommunication/ data communication systems and their mobile networks.
