Neeru Khosla Joins Wikimedia Foundation Advisory Board

WikimediaFoundation_logo.jpgThe non-profit organization Wikimedia Foundation announced today it has appointed Neeru Khosla to its Advisory Board. The Wikimedia Foundation is the organization behind the web encyclopedia Wikipedia.

Khosla is Co-Founder and Chair of CK-12, a non-profit based in Palo Alto, California which is pioneering the concept of "open source textbooks."

The Wikimedia Foundation operates the volunteer-written encyclopedia Wikipedia with a staff of less than 25 people. It created its Advisory Board in January 2007 "as a mechanism for input from leaders and thinkers in fields like education, technology, and free culture".
