Semiconductor company NXP today announced the appointment of Richard Clemmer as its new President and CEO. Clemmer is a member of the company's supervisory board and also serves on the boards of NCR Corporation and i2 Technologies.
Clemmer brings decades of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to NXP, Clemmer was CEO of Agere Systems, CFO at Quantum Corporation and worked at Texas Instruments for 23 years.
NXP manufactures semiconductors and software for TVs, mobile phones and other electronic devices. The company was founded by Phillips over 50 years ago and is headquartered in Europe.
