The parent company of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal announced today they have hired Steve Schwartz as their first ever Chief Digital Officer. It is believed that Wenner Media is going to take back their online sites, including RollingStone.com, which have been outsourced to third parties.
Swartz was General Manager of the Reader's Digest website since January, 2008. He will join Wenner in January, 2009.
Chairman, President and Editor Jann S. Wenner founded Rolling Stone in 1967.
