Business information search engine ZoomInfo has appointed Sam Zales to President and William Wechtenhiser to VP of Engineering for the company. Zales will oversee the company's operations and business strategy, while Wechtenhiser will focus on data quality and new product development.
The former President and CEO of BuyerZone, Zales brings 25 years of strategy, marketing, sales and product development experience to the company. According to his LinkedIn profile, Wechtenhiser has actually been at ZoomInfo for several months, but previously was Vice President at Goldman Sachs, in charge of Information Design.
ZoomInfo's semantic search engine creates profiles on industries, companies, people, products, services and jobs by culling publicly available information from the Internet. The Waltham, Mass-based company has profiles on over 45 million people and 5 million companies and customers include Yahoo!, Sony and Oracle.
