lifehacker_logo.jpgTech writer, web developer and lead editor of Lifehacker.com Gina Trapani announced today, "After a wild and woolly four years at the helm, I'm stepping down from the site lead position to work on Some New Stuff on a day-to-day basis in 2009". Adam Pash will take over as lead editor of the software and personal productivity site on January 16th. We will watch to see what Trapani will do next and be sure to keep you informed.

Trapani is a Sun-certified Java programmer and builds Firefox extensions and web sites. She has authored two books based on the Lifehacker website and her writing has appeared in Popular Science, Wired, Women's Health, PC World and Macworld magazines. She has been profiled in The Wall Street Journal Online and has been mentioned in several high-profile magazines.

Launched in 2005, Lifehacker is "a daily blog that features tips, shortcuts, and downloads that help you get things done smarter and more efficiently".

  3. Seems like a lot of the big-time productivity bloggers circa 2005-2006 are moving on or have already done so.

  4. Good luck to you, Gina! I will definitely miss you over on LH, but I'm sure you have much greater things in your future. :)

  5. Good for her. You earn much more by going out on your own, as opposed to working for Gawker or AOL. Can't wait to see what she is up to next.
