UK based non-profit organization Digital Preservation Coalition announced this week that it has appointed Dr. William Kilbride to be its new Executive Director. Kilbride will be based at the University of Glasgow and will assume his post on February 23rd.
Kilbride is currently Research Manager for Glasgow Museums. Previously he was Assistant Director of the Archaeology Data Service.
The Digital Preservation Coalition "is a not-for profit membership organization whose primary objective is to raise awareness of the importance of the preservation of digital material and the attendant strategic, cultural and technological issues...its vision is to make our digital memory accessible tomorrow".
