European user-generated search site Qype announced today it has appointed former Yahoo! executive Stephen Taylor as its new Chief Executive Officer. Company founder and CEO Stephan Uhrenbacher, who is Qype's largest private shareholder, is moving to the Board of Directors. He will focus on product strategy.
Taylor is currently European Strategy Advisor at Efficient Frontier. Prior to joining Qype, he was CEO at BizzEnergy Ltd. Before that he was Regional VP & Managing Director, Europe at Yahoo!
