Founder and original developer of open source database MySQL Michael Widenius announced on his blog today that he will be leaving Sun to join his own company, Monty Program Ab.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Widenius is currently a Board member at IT Mill Ltd. and on the Board of Advisors at Finsor. Be sure to read more about his decision to leave Sun on his blog, Monty Says.
