Mobile media content provider Whoop announced that it has appointed Hollywood entertainment executive Jeffrey Edell to be the newest member of its Board of Directors. According to company CEO Mark Morel, Edell "intuitively understands why content combined with distribution is critical and how mobile content can be an ace in the hole".
According to his LinkedIn profile, Morel is currently President & COO at animated content company DIC Entertainment. Previously he was Chairman of Intermix Media, the parent company of MySpace, when MySpace was founded.
