Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes left the company two years ago to help Barack Obama launch his online media strategy. Today peHUB reports that Hughes will join venture capital firm General Catalyst Partners as its full-time Entrepreneur-in-Residence. A formal announcement from General Catalyst is expected tomorrow morning.
The 25 year old Hughes launched the enormously popular Facebook in 2004 along with Harvard roommates Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz. He still serves as a consultant for the company.
