Kara Swisher reported on her BoomTown blog that software giant Microsoft has appointed Harvey Mudd College President Maria Klawe to be the newest member of its Board of Directors. She is the second woman on Microsoft's ten member board. "In a statement, Klawe said she would make sure Microsoft would pay more attention to gender issues."
Klawe has been President of Harvey Mudd College, "a highly regarded private liberal arts college in Claremont, Calif., that focuses on engineering, science, and mathematics", since 2006" Before that she was Dean of Engineering and a Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University.
