Global prepaid mobile telephone company Millicom International Cellular announced today that it has promoted Mikael Grahne from Chief Operating Officer to be its new Chief Executive Officer. Grahne will succeed former company CEO Marc Beuls, who had been with the company seventeen years.
Grahne had been the Millicom COO since February, 2002. Before that he was President of Seagram Latin America.
