The word on the street today is that former Current Media CTO and AOL VP of Technology Stephen Blumenfeld is joining game developer Sparkplay Media as its new Chief Technology Officer. Sparkplay is "a venture-backed company readying the launch of a free, three-dimensional MMOG called Earth Eternal".
Blumenfeld spent more than 3 years at peer-to-peer news and information company Current Media and was at AOL from February, 2000 until 2004. Before that he was a Vice President at GTE for over 10 years.
