Online payment company PayPal announced today that it has hired Farhad Irani to lead its business in the Asia Pacific. Irani will report to PayPal Senior Vice President of Global Markets Philipp Justus and be based out of the company's international headquarters in Singapore.
Prior to joining PayPal, Irani was Global Head of Credit Cards and Personal Loans at
Standard Chartered Bank. Before that he was Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President for Japan at Citi Group.
