Tech blog VentureBeat reports that Google's Asia Pacific (APAC) and Latin American Operations President Sukhinder Singh Cassidy is leaving the company to join Silicon Valley venture capital firm Accel. Accel has provided funding for Facebook, Macromedia and other high-profile tech companies and Singh Cassidy will be the company's CEO-in-Residence. In her new role she will "help Accel's portfolio companies and have the option to study to become a chief executive of one of Accel's future companies".
Prior to joining Accel, Sukhinder was Co-founder and Senior Vice President of Business Development for Yodlee.com. Previously she worked in strategy for leading British Pay TV provider BSkyB.
