Highly sought-after user experience designer Don Lindsey has joined smartphone designer, manufacturer and marketer Research in Motion (RIM) as its new Vice President of User Experience. Lindsey's track record of designing outstanding operating systems probably means that RIM is working on a new operating system for its biggest product, BlackBerry.
Lindsey is responsible for designing Apple's OS 8 through OS 10.3 and at Microsoft he was involved in designing parts of Vista. His titles at Microsoft were Director of Design at Microsoft Live Labs and before that, Software Architect. At Apple his title was Design Director for the Mac OS User Experience Group.
