StupidFunClub_logo.jpgMedia and information site paidContent reports that The Sims and Sim City creator Will Wright is leaving game developer and publisher Electronic Arts (EA) to lead a new entertainment think tank called Stupid Fun Club.

Wright's first video game design was Raid on Bungeling Bay in 1984 but the game Sim City put him on the map. The game was released by a company he co-founded with Jeff Braun called Maxis (now a brand of EA). As of 2008, The Sims game series is the best-selling PC game in history.
