Online movie rental service Netflix announced today that it has promoted Andrew Rendich to fill its newly created position of Chief Service and DVD Operations Officer. Rendich was previously the company's Vice President of Operations.
Reindich began his career at Netflix in 1999 as software developer and has held various positions with the company. In his new role, he will be "responsible for operations engineering, nationwide shipping and receiving and customer service" and continue to report to Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings. Previously he was a MES Manager Candescent Technologies.
