Just moments ago, Beet.tv reported that recently departed Valleywag Managing editor Owen Thomas has landed a new job at NBC Bay Area as its new Managing Editor. NBC Bay Area is one of the new regional online sites created by NBC Universal.
Thomas was the first online reporter for San Mateo, California based tech news blog Red Herring.com and has spent the last two years at Gawker Media. Previously he was a Reporter, Writer and Editor at Time, Inc..
