It's a great service for hosting mini video contests and we suggested our own tongue-twisting contest. Since then, 12seconds.tv has incorporated 12 second video challenges to further engage their users. They've also been integrated into other services. Today, you can add Qik and Flixwagon to their list of service integrations.

12seconds.tv is branching out of the little leagues and partnering with mobile livestreaming heavy hitters Qik and Flixwagon. The videos on Qik and Flixwagon can be pretty long, which means longer loading times for viewers. Now users won't have to worry about wasting time loading videos that they could've skipped. If you're a user of either service, the first 12 seconds of any video you record will be posted to your 12seconds.tv account. This move makes 12seconds.tv somewhat of a video aggregator. The service would be a great way to provide your network of friends with previews of your latest interview or wacky stunts that you record via Qik and Flixwagon.

More Mobile Options

The new partnerships also pushes 12seconds.tv into a wider mobile arena and expands the services current recording options, which was previously limited to a user's webcam or emailing a video to the service from your mobile phone if your device supported video messaging. Now you can do it all with a push of a button from the Qik and Flixwagon mobile apps.

12Seconds.tv Launches API, Partners With Tweetdeck, Phreadz, and Blippr Last month we announced the launch of 12seconds.tv. 12seconds.tv is being described as the Twitter of videoblogging, where users can create a short video clip of anything for up to 12 seconds. We even challenged our readers and received some hilarious responses. The service is taking off nicely and has recently implemented a host of new features and partnered with a few great up-and-coming services and applications.

New on 12seconds.tv

Soon after their successful public launch, 12seconds.tv implemented a host of new goodies to make the service more appealing for its users. The most popular new feature is the daily challenge. The service asks users to respond to a particular challenge of the day. A new challenge appears everyday. While it's fun to participate in the challenges, users can also win rewards for their participation.

API Launch

Today the service is launching the first version of their API. To give users and developers a taste of what can be done, 12seconds.tv has partnered with a great Twitter client known as TweetDeck, another video-blogging service known as Phreadz, and micro-review site Blippr. Now you can keep up with your friend's 12seconds videos right from TweetDeck and leave your own micro video comment on Blippr reviews.

It's a Micro-world Today Folks!

The latest additions to 12seconds.tv's offerings should be well received by users and fans of the service. Quite frankly, I'm more than excited to be able to use 12seconds.tv from TweetDeck. Let us know what you think about the latest API offerings from 12seconds.tv in our comments section.

The ReadWriteWeb 12 Second Challenge Earlier today Corvida set a difficult challenge for RWW readers, based on a new service called 12Seconds.tv. The challenge is to say "ReadWriteWeb" 5 times really fast in 12 seconds or less. Now, it's well known that the name 'ReadWriteWeb' is a tongue twister - even I have trouble pronouncing it at times, and I created the name! Check out some of the entrants so far, very funny...

MacTyler almost gets there, so close! At the end he slaps himself in the face (that's what the screenshot above is). This was his second attempt, his first is here.

A bearded reader called beach makes a hash of it.

To add your entry, you can either click here for an invite to 12seconds.tv or use Seesmic. We have 500 invites for RWW readers to 12seconds.tv. Unfortunately though, the way the private beta invites are being given out isn't ideal. You have to fill in a brief survey and the invites are emailed out to you. But I did that and I haven't gotten mine yet! So if you'd like to participate and you don't get your invite soon, head over to Seesmic and upload your video there.

Whichever method you use, add the link in the comments below and we'll post the best ones!

Here's mine, via Seesmic:

Even after all these years of practice at saying ReadWriteWeb... but it was late on a Friday night and after a couple of beers ;-)

UPDATE: A few more entrants:
