Although Apps Script has been around for a while, Google has rolled out some new features recently. Last week, it was support for scripting on Sites. And today Google has added support for scripting recurring calendar events.
This will allow users to write scripts to create, retrieve, update and delete recurring events in calendars.

Songkick has just given audiophiles a new obsession. Best known as a concert listing and recommendation system, the company launched a slew of new features including an editable concert history database (or gigography) and tracking for multiple cities, friends, venues, and festivals. Members can also upload their files and notes to any artist, concert, venue or festival page. The new site already contains more than one million concerts and complete tour histories. I guess it's safe to say our scrapbooking is about to change.
Just last week, Google announced offline support for Gmail, and today, Google Calendar is also finally getting a similar upgrade. Google Apps users are the first to get access to this new feature, though we assume that Google will roll this out to all of its users soon. The offline feature was built on top of Google Gears, which is available for Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
TimeBridge is a San Francisco-based startup focused on making it easy to schedule meetings and appointments. In a relatively crowded market, the product has managed to show impressive growth over recent months, this week surpassing the 200,000 user mark, with over 12,000 businesses using the service.
