Zoho updated its Zoho Wiki to version 2.0 today, adding features such as granular access controls and the ability to create individual workspaces for different business units, departments, or teams. This represents a shift in Zoho's positioning of the product from a simple app to an enterprise-level platform for intranets, knowledge bases and collaboration.

A month ago, Adam Duffy and Sean McCullough were diligently preparing for the acquisition of their Tulsa Oklahoma-based company Ping.fm. ReadWriteWeb covered the Seesmic deal in early January and since then the duo has moved to San Francisco to help get their product inline with the twitter client. ReadWriteWeb caught up with McCullough to find out what's changed since the acquisition and what early-stage entrepreneurs can learn.

In late November, ReadWriteWeb asked the question, Can Netvibes pull off integration of real-time feeds into its existing dashboard product?. At the time, early testers were just gaining access to Wasabi beta. As of today the service will go live to the public concurrent with CEO Freddy Mini's presentation at the Le Web conference.

In the old days, somebody running a business had a cadre of middle managers who aggregated data about the performance of different parts of the business. In a modern, web-enabled, web-centric business, this role is served by the online dashboards provided by various services. The challenge today is aggregating and integrating those services. I see this challenge in the real world from running ReadWriteWeb's business operations. This gap seems like a good start-up opportunity. Perhaps somebody is already filling it?

PeopleBrowsr, the online dashboard which tracks updates across all your social networks, has just launched a version of their application designed for the folks who will be attending the SXSW Festival later this month. With the customized application now available at sxsw.peoplebrowsr.com, you can track parties, SXSW-related hash tags, and you can even see where people are tweeting from using Google Maps.

Surchur, a web, blog, image, video, and social media search engine, has just relaunched their online dashboard. The company calls this an "update," but it's more like an overhaul of their earlier product. Launched back in spring of 2008, Surchur's original homepage was barely even worthy of a mention, much less of use. But today, the company's "dashboard to the now" delivers a well-designed and comprehensive view into the "real-time web" - that is, what's happening on the internet right now.
