Our ReadWriteWeb Real-Time Web Summit at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City will kick off with a keynote by our own co-editor and VP of content development Marshall Kirkpatrick this morning. Marshall plans to address some of the myths that surround the real-time Web and share his thoughts about its future.
Our friends at Justin.tv will provide a live stream of the keynote, which will start around 9:30am ET.
I'm pleased to announce that long-time ReadWriteWeb blogger Marshall Kirkpatrick is officially now our Co-Editor, sharing editor duties with yours truly Richard MacManus. When I founded this site almost 7 years to the day, I was the lone blogger. Today ReadWriteWeb has a team of around 20; and in particular our writing team has grown a lot over the past year.
Given this expansion, we've decided to split the Editor role into two: Marshall will lead our daily news team, while I will continue to lead the feature and channel writers.
On the third and final day of the ninth annual Gnomedex conference in Seattle, Washington, the tired but ever-ready members of the ReadWriteWeb gang convened to dish some dirt about the apps, hardware, speakers, and fellow attendees they'd seen over the weekend.
From a 3D printer churning out plastic copies of Darth Vader's head to the show's most geektastic game (hint: not Rock Band this time), Gnomedex left very little to be desired from our intrepid staff. Gather around and hear the tale of another great conference from Marshall Kirkpatrick, Steven Walling, Frederic Lardinois, and Jolie O'Dell.
